My apologies for the outage. SOTAwatch and the website was down for 4hr 49m. Service was resumed at 03:36:33AM UTC.

I was notified by text by the monitoring service I use but since, it seems, my phone was on silent I slept through it.

I happened to wake at about 4am this morning and saw the text.

Seems the hosting company issued a reboot and all the services didn’t come up properly. Took me a little while to suss out what had happened and fix it.

I don’t really have a good excuse for this. My fault entirely. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience.

Learnings:

  1. Make sure my phone isn’t on silent when I go to sleep!
  2. I’ll try and get another member of the MT on the monitoring list and empowered to do something about it.
