The SOTA weekend in the Black Hills of SD July 2021 was a big success. This was our first time putting on an event like this so we didn’t know what to expect. The kickoff BBQ was attended by 30 people from 6 different states and a lot of planning and information exchange took place as well as making new friends. On Saturday and Sunday 16 hams accomplished 35 activations on 24 different summits. In addition at least 13 additional summits were activated by participants in the days before and after the event.
We want to thank all who helped plan and execute this event. We especially want to thank those who traveled many many miles to help make this a success. Your expertise was much appreciated.
There seems to be interest in making this an annual event so let us know your thoughts.
