A request, especially for beginner activators.
Probably due to lack of knowledge, some activators, perhaps because they do not reach the minimum number of QSOs for scoring at a given time, choose not to register the activation and, then, those few hunters who closed contact end up not having their points validated.
Yes, even if they don’t reach the minimum number of QSOs, I ask those beginner activators to register closed contacts, as it is important for hunters.
Thank you so much for the SOTA activations, always so much fun to hunt and 73 everyone.

There is no such validation process in SOTA.
EDIT: And now for the bit I forgot to add.
Log every SOTA QSO and let the database make sense of the QSOs. A single QSO when activating is still valuable even though you do not get activating points.
Maybe I expressed myself badly. I meant how frustrating it is for a hunter to log a difficult QSO and not find the counterpart in the activator’s log.Just as I imagine the same feeling would be felt in the opposite situation.
Some folks activate SOTA summits within SOTA rules but never put their logs into the SOTA database. I guess they’re happy to have the activity generated by chasers, but aren’t interested in collecting the points. At least with SOTA the chasers can still get the points even if the activator doesn’t log the contacts in the SOTA database…
And some of us are just slow to upload our logs
I have had an odd summit where neither the Activator or the Chaser had logged the QSO on the SOTA database and it was only when I said “This is a new chase unique for you” did this come to light. the Activator had stopped logging QSOs and the Chaser had missed up loading this particular summit. It was still a good activation for me.

+1 for this. I’m usually slow, as other things take priority. I normally get logs on for me and Nic within a week if I can though.
meanwhile me currently in the process of sorting and preparing for upload of the qsos from the last 3 years - transfering from paper to digital has been a on/off process for about 5 weeks but is finished now.
That used to be me until I discovered VK portalog! Now my log is uploaded as soon as i drop the mic, and normally done by the time I have packed my kit up!
