The 2024 SOTA Portugal Day, which marks the 13th anniversary of the implementation of the Summits on the Air (SOTA) program in mainland Portugal, will take place on April 6th and 7th.
Just like the SOTA program, this activity is not a contest, but rather an “on the air” gathering where all radio amateurs are welcome.
The event aims to raise awareness about the Summits on the Air program within the amateur radio community, namely to increase the number of “activators” and “chasers” as well as to disseminate the rules of this internationally scoped activity.
Existing activators are encouraged to invite other amateur radio operators to accompany in their respective activations in CT SOTA, CT3 SOTA and CU SOTA summits.
Certificates will be available for both activators, chasers and SWL participants.
