I accessed the database today and saw the attached picture. It’s actually a very important SOTA event - but one that few will recall. It’s a photo of Age PA0XAW and his wife Wim. Age was the very first SOTA chaser outside the UK and as such he was actually quite critical in getting the programme going. So critical in fact that my wife and I went to the Netherlands to award Age his chaser certificate in person. The early days of SOTA were exciting times.
