Yes, but a weelbarrow is unpowered so you would not need to unload it to operate!
Okay, only the tubes in the TRX are maybe 50 years old, but the key (thanks to Lars) is certainly older than me (69.94a). 73 Chris
Would be good to have mpre of an excuse to lug my green radios to a summit. I had considered taking the PRC320 onto Mickle Fell, a couple of weeks ago, but it weighs more than my bicycle
The battery door for the Trio TR-2300 is missing, but it recieves ok. I just need to look in the junk box for a microphone. Sourced a battery for the Icom IC-H16 and that works too. So Ive got two radios ready.
Im up the Lake District end of May and start of June. I plan to activate G/LD-003 Helvellyn. Might take one of them up and see how I get on. Obviously I’ll take a FT60 as a back up!
Here is my ICOM IC-502 operating from CT/MN-035 last saturday 10 May 2025.
2watts 50 Mhz USB in its telescopic antenna.
Circa 1978? Using a lipo batt.
Still works very well for its age.
OK Brian,
A good wheel barrow will be easily converted to all terrain operation by equipping it with an all terrain pusher.

I’ll see your one pusher with a pair of kings and raise you one drag-along with a pair of aces. Elliott, K6EL
He wouldn’t find many customers on a summit!
These mules are used by our rescue services to get injured hikers down, or up, rough walking tracks. You will need a few fit people to move it along but it gets the job done.
This one I kwnow!!!

Sorry I’m back
Missed some good old stuff !
Before becoming passionate about the SOTA program, I was familiar with the 6m program.
It began in 1982 when I was in New Caledonia.
My first radio was an IC-502 like CT2IQK’s !
But I acquired another TRX for more power.
An Icom IC-560 10W in a SwissQuad 2elts that followed me in FK, FO, FY, and 5T, finally ending up in XU
I have 201 DXCC countries today on 6m from France !
But my best memory, not talking about bicycles, was a QSO between FK and JA in 1983 on 50Mhz FM with an AN/PRC-10 and a GP at 20m from my pro
