Great info. If this text can be put on the store page that’ll be useful to others who might not look here or when this thread gets buried.
There is a comment field on the store tracker configuration option where you could add a request to add a different SSID or “GM”, “GW” or anything else
Hi Dave,
Please would you explain how? I changed my callsign, pressed the “Save” button on that page, it claimed to update and reboot the tracker, but nothing had changed after the reboot. I tried downloading the JSON configuration, edited that by hand, restored the file so the changes were visible on the configuration web page, and then pressed “Save” again.Still no change to the tracker after a reboot. I’ve tried a variety of browsers but the “Save” button has no apparent effect. I realise that’s probably not enough information to debug the problem, but right now I am wondering if there’s some vital step that I am missing, please?

Edit: just realised it was an iGate not tracker that had this problem with.
I have had this happen to me once . In the web configuration all the fields appear to be populated but I think some were greyed out. Re-entering the data into the greyed out fields fixed it. Think I had to also toggle the display timeout switch. This was after after a firmware upgrade and hasn’t happened since.
… so did I with a similar result. I tried to save changes by pressing the “Save” button, the tracker rebooted but the changes were lost. At one point I hit the “Enter” key unintentionally. The tracker rebooted and I saw that the changes I had made up to that point had been saved. I managed to do the complete configuration this way. It may not be the right method, but it worked for me.

UPDATE: problem resolved by reflashing the firmware using
https://richonguzman.github.io/lora-tracker-web-flasher/installer.html
after which the configuration web server worked as expected.
Thanks to Paul MW0PDV and Roman DL3TU for their replies, which encouraged me to keep going this evening. Next step is to replace the dummy load with an antenna and go for a walk!

It’s taken much longer than I planned, but I’ve now produced a user guide for the SOTA branded LoRa APRS tracker. This can be downloaded by clicking the following link:
We are currently out of stock of the full SOTA LoRa APRS tracker in the SOTA shop at the moment, but we should have more available in the next week or so. There are however plenty of cases and accessory kits available should you wish to use the above guide to have a go at building and configuring one yourself.
