Sorry for the outage today on my SMS spotting service. I got up at 7.15am and noticed no activity. This is very unusual for Virgin Cable. Rebooting the router had no effect. As the modem said it was online I left it at that as the log showed DHCP errors with the UBR at Virgin’s end. With that I had to leave.
I’ve just given both the modem and router a power cycle with router powered up once the modem had come onine. Normal internet service has been resumed. I restarted the spotter and it dumped a load of spots from today. I’ve deleted those (I think Richard deleted one of his) so the spot page should be accurate.
Sorry for the poor service. This will badly impact on my uptime and quality figures.
