Dear SOTA friends, HA-Om’s,
Recent days I have tried to send a SMS spot @ SOTAwatch2.
My SMS is OK in the “gyalogradio.ham.hu/spotsms/” but is NOT OK the “SOTAwatch2” (I see my spot not appear)… are there problems … or do I something wrong?
Previously I always succeeded.

Luc, your username is your callsign with /P ?
The first strings are username and password.

I checked the log.
Unless I’m mistaken, you didn’t find your spotsms sent in 06/02/10 at 11:05.
It was syntactically correct and the gateway tried to send it to Spotlite, but it was rejected. The Spotlite’s log can tell us more about it.
TechPart:
sometimes (but very rearly) the Spotlite rejects perfect looking spots for unknown reason.
The Spotgateway get the “See Other” response string, if the spot is accepted by the Spotlite otherwise the “OK” string is recieved.
But it get “OK” in case of an incorrect username and/or password, too.
Is it possible to have a look at Spotlite’s log?

Hi Luc,
Nice to hear that it works now.
A tip: save the text as an SMS template then you will only have to edit the summit ref when spotting.
