Should I try to activate summits that are "unrecognized"?

I am planning a trip this weekend to activate some summits that have yet to be activated. However I am trying to create an alert through the SOTAGoat app, but get the “Unable to submit alert” error, and when I go through SOTA Watch, I am able to submit the alert, but then it has the “summit not recognized” error.

So should I go ahead and just create the alerts even though the summits are not recognized and try to activate them? Or should I re-plan my trip and find some summits that are recognized?

Most likely because you are using the number 0 zero although it is an O like Oscar in the association.

It’s Whisky seven Oscar

That was the issue, thanks for pointing that out!
