Wow, Iām impressed that you go out activating in that kind of weather. Iām more of a fair weather activator myself. Did you make the shelter yourself?

Yes. It is very simple.
I was reading this while trying to copy NA activator just above noise level. Your call sign was easy to copy here in Midwest.
I would use boulders or other natural shelter on the summit against the wind chill during activation. The trap is good to have in case of accident or other reason that does not allow immediate return to car/base camp.

Yes, it is much easier to find a natural shelter. On this summit I used the shelter to train its assembly and check if everything was fine. The shelter and my emergency blanket are part of the equipment in the coldest days, despite Portugal having a great climate.
