Same mountain two different references

I managed to contact two summits in spain today EA1/BU-068 and EA2/VI-018 both with the same name MORAZA both with the same long & latitude, one in north, one in north west,is this correct? MW3PZO

This topic but with different summits was brought up last on November 25th, the answer Andy provided then applies equally now:

There are number of duplicated summits on borders in the database. They are slowly being removed by the AMs concerned. i.e. an EA1<>EA4 duplicate is best resolved by the EA1 and EA4 AMs deciding whether it stays as EA1 or EA4. When they reach an agreement the list updated.

If you find one you should milk the points opportunity whilst it exists :wink:

The rule is that summits on the border between different DXCC entities can count for both countries, but summits on the border between two Associations within an entity, such as the US Associations or the EA Associations, can only count for one Association. It takes time to sort this out as the AMs of the two Associations that are involved have to negotiate which summits belong to which Associations, but in time it will all be sorted out!
