I’m very proud: on Saturday, 20/09/2014 my (long expected) first S2S QSO to the United States.
And that on 15m SSB, where you could hear the approaching thunder storm on the band yesterday.
DO1DJJ/p DM/RP-446 <-> N1EU W2/GC-090. Both gave 32.
My equipment: FT-897, 15W out, half wave vertical.
So it was a good idea to go to a 2nd hump yesterday…
Thanks Joerg! It was at 1420Z and glad that I checked the bands and noticed 15m in good shape. I was running a KX3 at 12W into a 9m long random wire, end-fed through a 9:1 xfmr fed by coax into the KX3 ATU.
