Not every summit has great views, and a wonderful hike. Sometimes summit activations are near the summit…on the side of a road… glad it was a quiet road. (-:
Hadn’t planned on going back to this summit after activating in 2019, but thought could make VHF contacts quickly with ARRL VHF contest last Sunday. Made 2 VHF contacts in 30 minutes, and grateful for hf contacts to finally activate.
So many types of summits, and even the low elevation summits are great practice at using equipment and setting up in unique locations. 73, James WA7JNJ
