Recomendations for using AnyTone AT-D878UVII Plus for Sota Activations?

I have one and have the same issue with moisture ingress, although not bad enough to affect it operating. It is an excellent DMR handheld but not so good for SOTA or VHF FM in general. Quite heavy too.

I bought a new, original Yaesu battery for my FT1XD as the clip broke on the old one and am using that again for SOTA.

The Anytone 878 radio was a challenge to learn, but it paid off on the summit. I reached over 70 miles with it and made 4 contacts. The rain cut my adventure short and I had to descend the mountain.
