The quick mount (QM) pole-top antenna holder solution with rubber grommets - in use for portable operation (also for all 573 SOTA activations) and proved themselves even under extreme weather conditions - has been newly supplemented with a solution that is particularly suitable for the wire section between 2 antenna traps (photos below).
This new solution is a slightly modified version of the pole-top antenna holder/insulator sold by SOTABEAMS (hole diameters approx. 4.6 and 6.7 mm).
The main difference to the original version of SOTABEAMS is
- a much more gentle wire fastening
- usable on different pole types and diameters/heights (e.g. useful in strong winds)
A set of 7 antenna holders with hole diameters of 5.6, 6.2, 6.7, 7.0, 7.4, 8.5 and 9.0 mm cover most needs with antenna pole lengths of approx. 12, 10, 6, 5 and 4m.
