Greetings!
Just a reminder that the 2nd Annual Queens of the Mountains YL SOTA Special Event Weekend is only 2 weeks away! Activations and chases will start at 0000Z on June 7 and end at 2359Z on June 8, 2025.
For the first time, this year we are inviting YLs from around the world to activate summits and chase activators. Any SOTA contacts with participating YLs will count, not just those between U.S. and non-U.S. YLs. As we did last year, OMs are encouraged to contact YL activators.
ALL chasers contacting 5 or more YL activators are eligible for a certificate. In addition, we have 6 achievements for YL activators to target:
First SOTA activation
S2S QSOs with at least two licensed YLs
QSOs with at least 2 licensed DX YLs
Joint activation with another licensed YL
Minimum 5 QSOs with YL chasers (exclusive of the QSOs that qualify for YL S2S and YL DX QSOs)
Minimum two QSOs on EACH of 2 different modes
Note: only QSOs that qualify to be counted for SOTA can be counted toward the achievements.
We will award the K1LIZ Memorial Achievement Award based in part on the number of achievements accomplished.
