For those looking for some more SSB contacts for the 2026 challenge…
I’m hoping to come on tomorrow (Sunday) morning from Chanctonbury Ring, G/SE-009 to coincide with the start of the RSGB AFS contest.
Equipment should be an Icom 7100, which i think does 20W on 70cm, and a 10 element yagi.
This will be subject to reasonable weather. At the moment it looks ok (in relative terms!).
The contest runs from 09.00-13.00z, but I will probably just be on for the first hour or so.
Would be lovely to work some SOTA chasers, whether you’re entering the contest or not. I have just checked the rules on the RSGB website, and it seems as though self-spotting is allowed, so I will put some spots on SotaWatch.
Hopefully speak to some of you tomorrow. Do keep your fingers crossed for the weather…
