Interesting, thanks. I have been using FT8CN and similar ports, but, this looks good. It’s also in Google Play store (which always makes me wonder what’s in FT8CN that it cannot be?!).

Hopefully it works with the IC705 and similar, too…

Hi George,

FT8TW - the later version of FT8CN is in the Google Play store.

I’m trying to find specific configuration for CAT and audio ports - its not clearly available where or if the configuration can be changed or whether the software in someway is locked to QMX defaults (I presume via USB).

OK, there’s a link to the user manual and there it says the QFT8 senses the QMX attached by USB and sets parameters within the QMX automatically as needed as long as the QMX is set to DATA. So this does seem to be a very specific app, just for the QMX and has no BT support - which would be nice to avoid the need for cables. Then again does the QMX have BT?

There’s a WiFi remote control function, so with two phones or a phone and a tablet/laptop you may be able to remote the QFT8 from another device, leaving the phone running QFT8 connected to the radio.

Hi,

I have a couple of updates!

I’ve fixed several minor issues. It’s been a couple of days already without noticing even small frictions.

I’ve already designed how I can implement support for LoTW and even have both QRZ and LoTW running (e.g. for confirmations). I’ll be working on it soon.

I wanted to show a couple of screenshots of the remote control web server, which is super super super cool, it basically allows you to fully operate the app!
