Many SOTA activators are now using PoLo from Ham2K, by Sebastian KI2D and team.
Unless you follow the Ham2K Forum or Discord you may not be aware that Sebastian has gone full time developing PoLo and what will be successor versions.
The main news is that the app is moving from just iOS and Android to supporting Windows, Mac and Linux.
To achieve this Sebastian is doing a ground up rewite of PoLo so he can have a single codebase that underpins the mobile and desktop versions. That’s a major change!
The app continues to have additional features added and (subject to interface requirements) even things like CAT control will be possible, with two way replication of mode and frequency information to/from the app, even on your phone. Imagine being on a hilltop and being able to click on spots and the radio automatically changes mode/frequency!
Anyway… you can probably tell I’m a fan.
