ON7DQ Gran Canaria Trip 2025

Activation Reports Pre-Planning

Hi all,

The XYL and I will be in EA8 Gran Canaria from May 18th to May 29th, we will stay in three different places. Since this is a family holiday, I have only planned three SOTA activations

May 20 : EA8/GC-026
May 23 : EA8/GC-011
May 27 : EA8/GC-001

All depending on weather conditions of course.
I will be using my KX3 at 15W and my usual random endfed. Modes CW and SSB.
I will also do some POTA activations, as it happens our first AirBnb is actually INSIDE a POTA Park !

If you have children with you… at EA8/GC-026 there is a playground :wink:

Hi Armin,
my latest post was about my report of that trip, it was in May, even before the trip to FN ;-).
And as others have reported, the cafetaria and playground on Montaña de Arucas are closed since several years now.

When I was there in March 2022, the restaurant was also closed… and it looked like it had been closed for some time.

But next to the restaurant was a small playground (with climbing equipment for children with safety mats underneath). I had activated the summit there.

What a shame…
