Our second attempt for this summit (OE/NO-210 Donnerkogel - Thunder Dome), Nevertheless, we got significantly further than the last time (about 300 m climbing elevation gain) - huge success. No path just a narrow wood clearing. 10 - 20 cm snow. One step forward two steps back … We should have started three hours earlier.
There were fresh footprints, maybe someone else was QRV up there today?
I still hope I can make this summit this winter, Rather by skis.
WX was nice, 5° C, dry but some strong winds up to 7 Bft.
We arrived at the car in total darkness, I do not regret that we abandoned the ascend. It was a very nice and healthy walk with junior and dog at least!
