I completed my first SOTA activation yesterday on Overlook Mountain(W2/GC-112) in Woodstock, NY. I used my FT60 with an Arrow II antenna and I had awesome results. 8 QSO’s in a little under 2 hours. I’m hooked.

Congratulations on your first activation. As you can see, from this buoyant community, SOTA is a hit with a lot of us - the perfect synergy between a technical and natural hobby.
The arrow antennas look great, and very convenient here with the tripod - if you have the luggage capacity!
