I did my first activation today, Sheridan Peak, along with N7CQR and KJ7MBM. I can’t believe I waited so long to try this, what a blast! I got my first peak, had my first CW QSO and worked my first summit-to-summit. And it only took six hours. :slight_smile:

I really appreciated everyone’s patience with me as I did my on-the-air training.

Special thanks to Dan, N7CQR, for lending a hand when I got stuck, which was often, along with NA6MG and KR7RK, who patiently stuck with me while I fumbled my way through our CW QSOs.

That’s great! I agree, this SOTA thing is a lot of fun and can become quite addictive. Next thing you know you’ll be activating every chance you get and spending the evenings looking at SOTA Maps or Sotl.as planning out peaks.
