My first activation in EA-land

It was pure fun and joy for me to activate my first Summit in EA-land. The chosen Summit was: EA5/AT-102, a one pointer.

Propagation had taken a dive the last few days, as the Sun was spotless and the Flux had plummeted to 77. Thankfully the Geomagnetic Field was very quiet as the K index was 1 during the activation.

35 Q´s were logged as far away as ZL-land, with a true 579 signal. Magic. You never know who´s going to give you a call, no matter the propagation…

Equipment was an Icom IC-705 and a linked Dipole for 20 30 and 40.

Thank you very much to all who gave me a call, and I´m looking forward to activate another Summit in EA5 shortly.

Hi Siggi,
it was a pleasure to have an S2S with you. The conditions weren’t great and I had to ask for your unusual call several times.
The same thing happened to me with Bill, G4OBK. Bill, nice that we had an S2S again.
