Steve you know you can upload TSV/CSV files into the SOTA database…I bet you could cut and paste your QSOS from your post into a CSV file and upload it…

I do paper logging on the hills, and boy do I hate entering everything in UTC time by hand…I need a goat secretary or two

Tks Tom, If I can get the goats away from editing video long enough to figure out how to create the CVS file we should be good to go! What program creates the CVS format? …S+R&P

In reply to WG0AT:

Steve, in case you didn’t know CSV stands for comma separated values. It’s a textual way of representing spreadsheet files. Given so many of the file formats are proprietry, CSV allows easier interchange between different programs. Microsoft Excel will read and write CSV files as does OpenOffice. Those two programs cover Windows and Linux, not sure what you’d use for OS-X.

Here is the entry for my activation of GM/CS-080

If when you import the file into the database there are errors then you’ll get a prompt to what is wrong. You can edit the file in any text editor or use a spreadsheet if you want. If you already have the data logged in another program then there are some tools around to reformat it for use on the database. Alain F6ENO wrote an ADIF to SOTA converter.

If you only work 30 or so contacts then typing them into the database live isn’t a big issue. For those who end up with hundreds of QSOs it can be a pain typing them in.
