As predicted the F2 has been opening up on 6m band in recent week into Asia and North America in CW and SSB.
When its started I found I could tune in the 10m 3 EL wire Moxon very quickly and easy via the MFJ949D. But when heard the VO1 station coming in SSB decided to whack up the 4 el wire quad for 6m and worked of course.
Now here’s the catch saw on Sota watch some Sota’s on 10m. so instead of dropping the and swapping of the beams left the quad up and returned again with a tweak on the MFJ949D. And am now reaching Sotas in USA and OK and S5 etc etc on be boundaries of F2 on 10m in SSB. But best laugh was the Madagascar station i worked also off the 6m 4 EL Quad with ease as well 90w from the FT450.
So since then the Moxon is grounded and still using the 6m 4 EL Quad to chase the Sota’s on 10m as well retuning to see if we can get any catch’s on 6m F2 SSB.
PS both antennas are home brewed.
