Mountain Goat trophies have not been available in the SOTA shop for some months because our trophy supplier ceased trading without any notice. We were able to source a small supply of larger trophies but these are now exhausted.
A lot of effort has been expended locating a source of trophies of similar quality and style to those still available for Chaser Awards with some success. The only downside is that the current supply is slightly smaller than the previously available version (80 mm octagon as opposed to 100 mm octagon) but they are slightly cheaper than our original version. We are trying to source a 100 mm version but will continue with this smaller version for the time being.
Additionally, our engraver has finally retired and is unable to provide that service any more.
Because of the changes required to continue supply of trophies the following alterations in the Mountain Goat trophy will be made:

The details on the trophy (not the logo) will now be laser etched

Details included on the trophy (Call Sign, Date of award and minor details like “All CW”) will be included at no extra charge – resulting in a significant saving in cost for the purchaser

Infill of the etching will be optional – it is less effective than infill on engraving

The full cost of a Mountain Goat trophy (excluding carriage) will now be £30
Chaser (Shack Sloth) trophies will continue to be the 100 mm octagon until current stock is depleted and replaced with the new design (and the details etc. will attract additional charges as before)
