Many thanks for the very interesting report Simon. As you say, the route certainly has far more of interest than that from the east. Absolutely great for a single summit day. Paul G4MD and I used the eastern route as the activation of this one followed Rhinog Fawr and overall it was quite a hard day. Winter activating also necessitated a descent in the dark - that was fun in itself!
