Congratulations to Mathias @DH1WM for reaching his first today on Großer Feldberg DM/HE-003, achieving a perfectly tuned 1000 activator points and 200 total activations - all within two years of starting with SOTA!
I’ve had many interesting QSOs with Mathias recently as part of the 2m challenge, including several DX S2S contacts that I particularly enjoyed. This morning, I was pleasantly surprised to hear him booming in 559 from nearly 300 km away. A signal truly worthy of such a special milestone. And with 4 alerts already set up for tomorrow, I am sure the 2nd goat will follow soon.

I am already looking forward to my next activations—primarily on 2m this year, but with HF included every now and then as well.
The idea to reach 1,000 Activator Points with exactly 200 activations only occurred to me two weeks beforehand. As part of the preparation, I then had to earn just 4 points across 3 summits.
