There have been several similar articles recently although this one is interesting because of the mention of young folk wanting to learn Morse.
This one is also interesting because it mentions SOTA!
Given the source there’s a fair chance that it’s not true or at least exaggerated.
I normally take the view that The Mail is not a valid source of the truth. i.e. objective fact based truth and not the like the views of a deranged social sponger who said “and there’s just as much truth in what I remember and how I remember it as there is in so-called objective facts”.
So if it’s in The Mail any facts will have been spun or taken out of context to reflect the views of the editorial board.
This time, it’s a reasonable story. I was pleasantly surprised.
