Link dipole (inverted vee)

I have been using link dipoles since 2011, with my present 10 band antenna being built around 2019. Link dipole.

One thing I have found difficult when using the antenna is getting a good photograph of it as the backgrounds usually offer little contrast between the antenna and everything else.

Last week at VK3/VT-046 Mt Tassie, thanks to a setting sun, I got a photo that shows off the antenna nicely.

The antenna is mounted on a 14 year old 9m squid pole with the apex at the bottom of the top fiberglass section and the RG58C coax strain relief about 2m further down. Each link is made with Anderson Powerpole connectors supported on plastic strip about 10 mm wide.

Great photo Peter.
One thing I notice when using an end fed instead of the link dipole is once I sit down to start the activation I don’t usually get up again until its finished. Man the old body joints lock up and the Butt rot sets in too. At least with the link dipole you have to jump up a few times to change bands. Well not hardy jump up struggle to my feet a bit more often is the real scenario HI.
Cheers Mate good work.
