Radio reports the road between Wrynose and Hard Knott passes to be closed due to flooding at Cockley Beck. This will presumably also make Dunnerdale a dead end. Long detours will be needed.

Good news from the radio,Cockley Beck is now off the road and all is back to normal. Yes lots of rain yesterday, a party were brought off Scafell by the rescue lads. They had crossed a beck on the way up no problem but it was over waist deep for their descent! Guess that’s why it’s so green with lakes Our hosepipe ban only came off a couple of weeks ago.
