ATTENTION - SAVE THE DATE 🥁

The 2026 GW SOTA S2S and Hog Roast date follows:

Saturday 27th June 2026

The same agenda will take place on this day as it did at last years event - we will aim to be out on the hills for 09:30 BST to start the S2S action between 10:00 BST and 13:00 BST.

We will then all head for a location in Mid-Wales, near Welshpool, I will put up nearer the time (same place as last year) for 15:00 BST for a get together and hog roast with pudding.

Please save this date in your diaries and hope for good weather 😀 I’m already looking forward to meeting everyone and hopefully some new faces at this event 👌 EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!

CAN EVERYONE WHO WILL BE ATTENDING, PLEASE PUT YOUR NAME AND CALL-SIGN IN THE COMMENTS BELOW (including your partner if they are coming) - thank you in advance 👍 I will be paying for the hog roast the end of April, so I will need all definites by then please. There will be a toilet on site!

Again, it will cost £10 a head, this will include your food on arrival, and we will hold a raffle at the event to raise money for the running costs of SOTA e.g. website servers etc etc.

If anyone wants to camp in a tent, or park your campervan up, there is a small site literally 200 yards from the venue - a 5 minute walk. Please find link to site below:

Hi Ben,

As things stand, my dad Tom @M1EYP hasn’t been booked to do a gig yet on Saturday 27th June, but this may very well chance nearer the time. If my dad doesn’t get booked to do any gigs, we will come to the Hog Roast, but won’t be able to confirm for definite or pay any deposits until a few days prior to the Hog Roast as it is only then we will know if my dad is unlikely to get booked to do a gig.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for organising again. Checked on-call rota and should be free that weekend.

Going to go for an easy summit as I will probably in recovery mode from a 50 mile race the previous weekend, GW/NW-049 looks good

I’ll spread the message to TDARS and see if we can get some more out.

Alwyas an event I look forward to putting in the calendar.

Thanks for organising again Ben. Sadly Sue and I won’t be there this year as we are attending a wedding that day.

I’m sure it will be a fantastic event as usual and I will cross my fingers for a dry day.

Thanks for organising this again Ben, I’m down to work that Saturday but i’ll be sure to book it off in good time, already posted an alert for my usual summit for this event :laughing: looking forward to it & hope its dryer than last year. :droplet:
