I have a mighty 50w linear amp and a log beam, so we can try! Not sure what time i would get there, if at all. I’ll try and post something, providing therevare sufficient “G’s”
As usual for this event I’m waiting until the last minute to choose a local summit not taken by a visitor. With the weather being so unseasonably warm and sunny for Cumbria I’m going to try some kite radio - if the wind’s strong enough - and fly my kite-friendly 40m EFHW and - unusually for a CW op - do SSB. Also, 2m FM of course.
MY ‘last minute’ EDIT UPDATE:
Summit fixed: ~30k/h NE to ENE winds on Gummer’s How G/LD-050 (~1130utc) so kite might sail off into Lake Windermere but not drop down in the trees on the east side.
Beer served at table 7 outside . I heard a new one on my way down from Place Fell. A man at Boredale Haus asked me if “that the quickest way to Angle Tarn?” (Pointing back up to Place Fell). I turned him in the opposite direction and wished him well. Wild campers!
I’ll be there shortly!
Sadly the “Helm” wind on Dunston Pike G/NP-027 ruthlessly shredded my HF antenna and Decathlon pole earlier today, so I won’t be doing any HF tomorrow on G/LD-003.

I’ve already posted to do 23cm (1297.5MHz FM) , 2m and 70cm, but having space in the rucksack by the now redundant KX2, I was thinking about throwing in the 4m radio, and giving this fairly unused band a dabble.- if anyone is up for it.
