KX3 Pouch

This is the current pouch I use to carry my KX3. It weighs 8.8 ounces (250 grams) but after I cut the two big straps in the back and the two metal D rings off, it weighs 7.2 ounces (204 grams). The front pocket fits the KX3 mic perfectly, I could probably squeeze maybe the power cord in there too and maybe a paddle, but I didn’t want to pack it to tightly that things get scratched and banged up.

I am curious if anyone is using a lighter option that offers at least the same level of protection.

(I am trying to reduce my radio equipment weight where I can)

Edit - my KX3 has the side rails and plastic cover.

Hazard4 makes a pouch called the “Jelly roll”, if you have a KX3 with the side kick panels and cover it fits the KX3 incredible well. It’s very well padded and weights 7.2 oz. It has little room for accessories, but its a fine case for the radio. Amazon has them.

Amazon also sells cases for telephoto lenses that might fit your need. Quite similar to those posted by N8HN though no weight is listed. Could be worth a look, most were around the $20 range.
