Worked him on 52 simplex earlier today while he was activating El Cajon peak. Just looking to say hello as I didnt recognize call.

Hi Todd,
Just signed up to reply. Was a good first climb to El Cajon Mountain, and received some help along the way. The fog layer that seemed to envelop the whole city was no better at the mountain on the way up. Burned off at the end of the hike which treated me to a good view of the valley with nearby Barona Casino front-and-center.
As a SOTA (and really ham) newbie, the contacts made it even better. I was surprised by how seemingly 4 people were basically lined up for me to activate the peak. Was great fun. Thank you for your patience as I fought the rubber ducky and thank you for the QSO and what I believe to be the extra SOTA matchup point, as this mountain is 2 points, and I received 3.
