For a while on TXing, I have been getting what sounded like break through on my PC speakers when TXing on either VFO.
After checking a few things and re-routing cables etc…I finally sussed it..
Press Func and then press PWR also has sub option of TX MONI…..
This was set to level 1 and this let me hear myself on the speaker….
Change TX MONI to off and hey presto….Issue resolved!
i do love Kenwood radios. Pity Yaesu seems to dominate and Icom these days. The audio from Kenwoods are easy to listen to all day but i cant listen to a yaesu all day.
I do like my Kenwood TS2000 (I was surprised to see how much they have gone up in value over the years since I got mine) and also have FT-857 for portable use.
