Despite managing to break not one but two masts during setup, I had a good time. I was limited to a ten foot remnant of one mast so I rigged up a low 44’ doublet instead of a half square. Conditions were surprisingly noisy on 10, but got better as the afternoon progressed.
My S2S: JP3DGT/3, JR0QWW/0, JQ3AJX/3 on 10; JF1NDT/2 on 12; JE1LHW/1, JL1NEI on 15. I could also copy 7N1FRE/2, JG1BOK, JI3BAP/3 off and on.
Thanks for pulling my weak signal out of the noise. And thanks to the various chasers from Japan, too. It was cool and overcast and I really enjoyed being outside today. I planned to operate until sunset. Instead, my battery ran out of juice at 0110Z. 72, David N6AN W6/CT-225
