If the weather is kind I’ll be at VK3/VC-037 on Sunday between 0000z and 0300z.
Looking for VK ↔ JA S2S contacts on 10m SSB and FT8.

The first day of the JA event is also the day of the W7A 10 Point Madness event, our afternoon…cool!

Typhoon Krathon will likely be finished affecting Northern Taiwan by Sunday, so I can activate from from BV.

On a separate note, I’m planning a SOTA-xpedition with 6 activations from 10/10 to 10/12. I will mostly do quick activations on 15m. I hope I can get some chases from JA. I’m always grateful for so many chases from JA.

Update - Access to VK3/VC-037 is blocked by road closures due to recent storms.

I’ll now be at VK3/VC-031 instead.

Thank you to everyone who participated.
I only participated in the morning, but we were able to create 23 S2S stations, including 5 from North America.
The early morning 28MHz was especially good.
See you again soon.

Hello dear JA friends,

Thanks for organising this event.
I couldn’t go and activate a summit this time, but instead I tried chasing a bit on Sunday Oct 6th early morning from home.

Contrary to what happened in past events, this time I had no long path QSO in 14 MHz.
Instead, thanks to the solar conditions, I found an open short path in 28 MHz.

First I chased Aki, @JI3BAP, very loud on CW at 06:38 z.
Then I logged Seiji @JG4LCS, also CW at 06:58 z
I found Aki again, this time on 28 SSB.
Last I logged Tak, @7M4QZE also 28 MHz CW at 07:46

I was very glad to say hi to all of you, thanks!!
Any info of your working conditions & pictures is welcome.

See you next time, hopefully…
