During my SW activation today, I saw the 2m spot from John M1RTB/P on DM/SA-001, and the FM S2S contact over 88km worked with a 59 signal report both way.
In the ten years and nearly 1,000 activations I’ve done in this area, that’s only the second time I’ve managed to pull this off spontaneously using FM.
My Quansheng was actually completely out of power, but the USB charging function and a mobile phone power bank saved the day.
John, how were you able to hear me—with my 3W and short antenna—despite the massive QRM on the Brocken?
