I created a YouTube video to share with fellow activators. This is how I use my Iphone for offline navgation while out looking for summits.
This should also work with Android phones. I just have not tested that.

App contains adverts on Android. No thanks.
On the apple version you can buy the app and remove the ad’s

Thanks for this, I have just used the Android version of the “MAPS Me” app for the last week on my Lenovo S5 smartphone to avoid paying £85 to the UK hire car company to book a GPS (which they couldn’t guarantee to be available).
The Ads in the App only take up 1/4" at the bottom of the screen and did not distract me at all.
The export KML file from SOTA Maps process I have been using with the “Navi” in the Chinese multimedia (WinCE based) unit in my own car for the last 4-5 years and will use with my new Android 8.0 based Auto-head unit once I have it installed.
