Does anyone know the origin of the strong RTTY QRM on 7162.5 kHz in the mornings recently?
It does not appear to be an amateur radio signal. It would be interesting to know if it can be heard in other geographical areas. It is about S8 here in IO82 square as I write this posting.
It needs to be reported to Intruder Watch.

Thanks, Karl. That’s useful to know. I suspect it’s coming from somewhere in Continental Europe, although it could be on a ship somewhere.
Yes, it has stopped for the moment but it pops up quite often in the mornings.
