Yep, not looking good for HF. But if you’re a 6 meter fan, things are pretty fair. Lots of 6 meter posts with real DX the last few days.

I was wondering about the bands being dead for me for the last week at least. Hopefully they will improve.

I am hearing a station right now on 7.125mhz which is good.

I went out last night, Monday 2 June, hoping to see an aurora however there was too much cloud and I could only see a few starts in the southern sky.
Others, about 300 km west of me, got to see quite a light show.

I wasn’t going to bother with HF on my activation yesterday (2nd June), but I decided to give 20m a try. To my surprise I managed a few QSO’s to Southern Spain, one to Slovenia and a S2S to Denmark running 10w.
My learning was, no matter how bad conditions are it’s always worth try.

Yep. Bands are absolute trousers at the minute thanks to region 4100.

28mhz may appear to be dead as can 50mhz so always worth calling CQ a few times. I heard 4X4XT yesterday afternoon at around 13:30 local, working the UK & EU SSB. He was the only station on the band. On the 23rd of May I called CQ on 50mhz SSB and was called back by 2 x SM’s & 2x DL’s the band also appear to be dead. Always worth a few shouts.
