A small group of SOTA activators (mainly from ARI-Padova) is about to resume mountain activities with something easy, but special for us.
The Euganean Hills are a small but significant hilly complex of volcanic origin in the middle of the plain. Last year it entered the UNESCO World Heritage and we at ARI-Padova and many other friends thought of resuming radio activations celebrating this UNESCO milestone.
Starting from Sunday 15 June, we will try to activate all the referenced SOTA of Euganean Hills and create a personalized QSL for this event.
It is only about 12 small peaks, but for us what counts is the desire to do it together with many friends. Above all, we will try to activate most of the peaks at the same time.
We will insert the Spots on SOTA Watch indicating the note “CQ SOTA Euganean Hills UNESCO” and then we will make ourselves available to all the hunters who want to connect to us.
I hope it’s not just an isolated event, but a nice restart and to return to the mountains more often…
Here are the peaks that we will activate for the most part simultaneously already on Sunday 15th June. If we fail in the intent, we will continue on Saturday 28th June and Saturday 5th July
