How to attach the Begali Adventure?

Hi all,

Whilst hiking between SOTA summits in the French Vosges, I concluded I really need to spend some cash on a high-class CW paddle to use on SOTA outings. I’m thinking the Begali Adventure Mono could be the one. It’s a single-lever paddle and I like that; I have a Begali HST at home and it’s my daily driver.

But now a new problem arises: how to mount the Adventure? I want to use it with multiple rigs (KX1, K1, QCX-mini, QMX) so using Begali mounting brackets is not the way to go. Also, I don’t want to lug the desktop base with me in the mountains because of its weight, so that’s no option either.

Are there people in this group that have found a workable solution?

I’m thinking that as there are 3 screw holes in the bottom of the key, I could maybe use these to affix the key to my clipboard? Would I need a special screw then? Or should I buy one of the mounting brackets and dismantle it and use the parts to make my own clipboard mount?

Hope to hear from you, 73 de Frank PA4N

I may have the best solution to my own question: 3D-print a base. Just like this one: https://www.printables.com/model/1693330-desktop-base-for-a-begali-adventure-cw-key
