Planning is underway for the 2024 of the gathering of SOTA enthusiasts at Mount Hotham.
We have booked a Ski Lodge for the weekend of Friday 22 March 2024 to Sunday 24 March 2024.
Much of the day time activity is likely to be on VHF between groups on different mountains, but expect a late afternoon (East coast VK) session from a high point value summit or summits on HF (Est. 0500Z) on Saturday. HF may be used during the day.
Unfortunately, Mount Hotham itself is no longer a SOTA summit, as it was found to have inadequate prominence.
Activators may also be active on the days prior and/or following the weekend.
Activators can accumulate 100 Activator points over the weekend (including the Friday and Monday). Group participants usually accrue many S2S points.

Anyone considering attending the Hotham event should make contact with Peter VK3PF as soon as possible. The Lodge booking needs to be confirmed with numbers and payment by 22 February.
Accommodation cost is $38 per person per night, with most participants staying for 3 nights.
