Try the Youth Hostel at Glen Nevis Steve, cheap & very convenient for the “tourist” track up the Ben.

I don’t know if this link will help you Steve…

This hostel appears to be self-catering. However, there seems to be a pub a very short walk away - “The Ben Nevis Inn” - which does food, and has a bunkhouse too.

Still on our “Want to do” list. What other SOTA summits can be walked to from Glen Nevis YH?

Hi Steve,

As posted above the Youth Hostel is the nearest to the Tourist Track and Inverlochy Castle is the nearest hotel to the North Face which I am sure would do you a nice room with a good view of the Ben for a few hundred quid a night. Or a suite for somewhat more!

In between these extremes there is the Nevis Bank which is I think is quite popular with walkers and not too far from the start of the track http://www.nevisbankhotel.co.uk/
Or the Ben Nevis Hotel which has swimming pool and fitness club:

Or B&Bs galore.

From the YH you have the whole Mamores range open to you as well as one or two other lower Marilyns. You could also hitch down the Glen and go up the back side of Aonach Beag and either over to Aoanch Mor or along the Grey Corries depending on how fit you felt.

If you are really keen you could do all the Mamores and finish at Corrour Station and stay at the YH there and catch the train back in the morning back to Fort William. Or do the Grey Corries and finish at Spean Bridge station and get the train/hitch/bus back.

Both would be hugely memorable expeditions.

Stob Ban is a nice quick peak from Glen Nevis:
