Hilll Bagging site

Apparently the hill Bagging site http://www.hill-bagging.co.uk
is having problems with its hosting servers (plusnet) and could be off for some time.
They are looking for alternative more reliable hosts - any offers ???

It does look like a rather epic sized “shipment of fail” has been delivered by their hosting company. What do they want, recommendations for more reliable hosts or someone to donate some space and bandwidth to them?

In the meantime, this site http://www.biber.fsnet.co.uk/downloads.html shares the same information with the hill-bagging website, the database of summit information may be downloaded in various formats.

It’s back up again. Not a good advert for Plusnet hosting though!

In reply to MM0FMF:

The site is down again unfortunately - just when I wanted to enter some details - no further info as to what has happened. Let’s hope it’s not permanent as it is a very useful resource and a good way to keep tabs on where you’ve been and where to go next.

In reply to G4OBK:
Indeed Phil. Not surprisingly, after the last problem, the site owner says he is moving the site to a new host and encountering some glitches in the process… poor chap.

Hopefully it will be back up again soon.

Thank’s for the information Marc.

The site is using a temporary URL

In reply to G4OWG:

Thanks for highlighting this temp site Roger. I’ll enter my info now. Let us hope something proper gets sorted.

In reply to G4OWG:

Many thanks Roger - much appreciated.

It took me a while to fathom the 4 summit discrepancy between my totals on the database and the Hill Bagging site: currently 288 SOTA summits = 284 on the Hill Bagging Site + Horse Head Moor G/NP-021 + Thorpe Fell Top G/NP-025 + Raw Head G/SP-016 + Black Hill G/WB-001. Better bag Baystones soon.

In reply to G4OIG:
Now appears to be fully functional using original URL on new host.
