Hill names that give you a giggle

You know it’s a SOTA summit?

I used to live in Dunstable from 7 years old and we
holidayed in either North coast of Cornwall (Crackington Haven area) or North Wales (Llandudno)

When travelling to Cornwall ‘Brown Willy’ G/DC-002 never failed to raise a snigger.

(oh and my favourite memory of Llandudno was on the pier pushing 10p of my holiday money into a stand-up Lunar Lander with the sound turned up to full. What a rumble).

North Cornwall is rugged and magical in equal measures. I finally persuaded my wife to give it another try after we had a week of rain 10 years previous!

Can’t help but be reminded of that Dudley Moore and Peter Cook horse racing sketch. Won’t put the video here in case I get in hot water as it is NSFW.

Let’s hope it hasn’t blown away tonight.

My second favourite area after the Western Highlands of Scotland, whether its wandering on the moors or climbing on the sea cliffs, magical is the word! (And the pubs are great, too!)

It always brings a smile to my face when I activate this summit:

Forget hill names. Some people have some really undesirable callsigns.

. . . no reason to giggle in German when activating Wank, hi.

Another one in southern Germany, not very far: Kackenköpfe, DL/AL-104, translated as Shit Heads at first sight, but the name is derived from other roots.
